Selection Criteria

Participation requirements

General Requirements to participate in the Globant Awards - Women That Build 2024 Edition

 

  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of entry or the age of majority in such person’s jurisdiction of residence, whichever is greater; 
  • Candidates must identify themselves as women;
  • Candidates must reside in Argentina, Belarus, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Denmark, Ecuador, France, Germany, India, Luxembourg, Mexico, Moldova, Netherlands, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, United Kingdom, United States and Uruguay. 
  • The Local or Regional Winners and the Global Winners of the 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 editions are not eligible to participate;
  • Government officials and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate or receive a prize. For the purposes of this Contest, government officials are defined as individuals employed by government departments and agencies, including all federal, state, provincial, county, city or municipal government officials (where applicable), statutory boards, public bodies, and anyone employed by a government-owned or controlled company; and
  • Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for her category as described below.

 

Category Selection criteria

Tech Executive

  • She must be a C-level executive, VP, Director, Board Member with experience in the technology industry as part of a large company/organization.
  • She must have outstanding achievements in their field of expertise, demonstrating exceptional knowledge and skills in the latest technologies (that include AI)
  • She must demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and the ability to inspire others.
  • She must have a significant positive impact on her organization and the broader tech community with proven efforts or support in women in tech inclusion programs or women professional growth.

 

Tech Entrepreneur

  • She must be the founder or co-founder of a startup or developer of a technological project seeking to reinvent businesses through the lens of AI and latest technologies.
  • She must have creative potential to scale and to create large-impact change with her project.
  • She must have a significant positive impact on her organization or the broader tech community with proven efforts or support in women in tech inclusion programs or women professional growth.
  • Is desirable that she works on a project or product with positive impact in terms of social or environmental impact.

 

Tech Leader

  • She must be a woman up to middle management roles in the tech field with outstanding potential and significant achievements. Roles such as Leader, Manager (Project, Team, Area), not C-Level positions.
  • She has shown a high level of competence, creativity, and the ability to adopt and apply the latest technologies, including AI.
  • She showcases rapid growth and she is committed to generate a positive impact with her teams and the tech community. 
  • She must have a significant positive impact on her organization or the broader tech community with proven efforts or support in women in tech inclusion programs or women professional growth.

 

Ponderation criteria

  • Years of experience in the tech field
  • The number of people they impact
  • The company scale
  • The use of AI or latest technologies in their work
  • The participation in DEI programs, social or environmental programs or ONGs
  • The quality and quantity of information the candidates provide
  • The documentation they provide to support their statements
