Tiffany Kelly is the founder & CEO of Curastory, the platform disrupting the content creation tech world.

Before making her leap into the world of startups, she joined ESPN Stats & Information Group as a Sports Analytics Associate, where she created ESPN’s College Football Fan Happiness Index. She was the first African-American analyst to join the team. Throughout her tenure with the leading sports multimedia company, she became an advocate for harmonizing creativity, human traits, and data science.

Kelly designed and launched the revolutionary adtech platform, Curastory, in 2019 after the NCAA announced an amendment to a 109 year-old rule that would finally allow student athletes to monetize their creative content. This announcement promoted a realization in Kelly that the creator economy wasn’t slowing down, but rather accelerating. She predicted that, with the decentralization of media, audiences were going to become even more fragmented and, as a result, harder to reach.
Always an optimist, Tiffany uses her role as CEO for change. For one, diversity is a priority reflected in Curastory’s founding team. “I think we actually have more minorities on our founding team than not so that’s really big for me and I care about it a lot because I went through it.”

Tiffany also tries to help make the path to business leadership less bumpy for women who look like her. “I want to get to the point where the Black women that call me that are starting their own companies don’t even have to deal with [sexism] in the slightest.” Kelly acknowledges that we’re still a ways from that level of equality and co-existence, but insists that it would bring monumental change to STEM - especially in leadership.

As a board member of the Sports Analytics Club Program (SACP) and high-profile ambassador of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) – Lyda Hill Philanthropies IF/THEN Initiative, she seeks to further this calling through sports analytics educational programs provided in inner city secondary schooling throughout the country, and mentoring middle school girls in STEM so they can then be the change.

Her one, sole purpose on this planet is to inspire anyone and everyone to share their individual stories with the world, to have ownership over those stories, and to empower them to do so with her technological skill set.
