Patricia Pomies

Chief Operating Officer, Globant
Global

As the operations leader at Globant, Patricia is responsible for the sustainable growth of the company's operations and ensuring the execution of its strategy delivers maximum value to clients and stakeholders. Recognizing the importance of the well-being, training, and skills development of team members (internally known as Globers), Patricia's role has expanded to strengthen synergies between Delivery, Performance, People, and Operations.

She oversees the annual operational planning process and ensures that the organization's objectives are aligned with the goal of sustainable development for Globant. Additionally, she focuses on translating strategy into actionable growth targets, helping implement organization-wide goal setting and performance management.

Her role has grown increasingly complex as the company has expanded to become a publicly traded organization with 27,000 employees working in 30 countries worldwide. To rapidly scale up the company from a startup to a multinational corporation, Patricia and her team pioneered Globant's innovative approach of agile pods. This industry-disruptive strategy provides more autonomy and resources to company teams, placing them at the heart of the organizational framework. In 2020, she was honored with the "Premio Revelación" as an "Outstanding Woman in the Business Field" by Women Corporate Directors. In May 2022, she was recognized as one of the Top 50 COOs by the 2022 OnCon Icon Awards. Furthermore, in 2023, she was featured as one of the 50 Women of Impact in Latin America by Bloomberg Línea.

Patricia is a strong advocate for increasing the representation of women in management positions, acknowledging the gender gap in the tech industry. For this reason, she actively participates in Globant's Women that Build program. She was one of the driving forces behind the company's Be Kind initiative, which encompasses various development areas, including gender equality, technology ethics, renewable energy, among others.

Patricia joined Globant with a background in education and communications, having taught at four universities and managed educational programs aimed at empowering the next generation of leaders with modern and technological skill sets.
