I am the CEO and founder of Centro-i for the Society of the Future, a think tank focused on understanding the profound economic and social transformation brought about by the digital ecosystem and exponential technologies. https://centroi.org
I am also a co-founder and associate director of the boutique consultancy Aequum, specialized in competition and regulation, specialized in telecommunications and technological markets.
As a commissioner of the Federal Institute of Telecommunications, I had the privilege of building from its inception the autonomous regulator and competition authority in telecommunications and broadcasting in Mexico. At the same time, I fostered gender inclusion inside the IFT and in the industry. Inside the IFT, by introducing remote work, life-compatible schedules, parental leave (for fathers, not only mothers), gender perspective and new masculinities training, as well as gender violence prevention programs. In the industry, by creating Conectadas, the organization of women leaders in the digital ecosystem with the mission of ensuring that more and more women are involved in decision-making, so as to contribute to closing the digital gender gap and changing the conversation in electronic media, eliminating stereotypes and gender roles. Conectadas has been a game-changer in the industry in Mexico and also in Latam, supporting programs and policies to attract girls to STEM careers, eliminate glass-ceilings, make female experts visible and apply gender perspective in public policy and business strategies.
