Vera is a business leader with 10 years experience in Business Development and opening up new markets for technical companies.

She started her career in the UK after moving from a town in Sicily to London where she learned English and enrolled in a Postgraduate Degree in Management at the University of Bradford.

After the PG, Vera started working in the IT sector and she covered channel and direct sales roles for the Opensource market leader, RedHat.
Vera then covered more senior and strategic positions at Ubuntu (Canonical) where she ended up leading the EMEA Channel.

Following a further academic development at LSE, where she completed an Executive Master in Global Management, Vera has joined Dropbox where she is driving the channel for Italy and the Middle East and she is responsible for the GTM approach and the regional drafting of regional business plans.

In her daily work, Vera is acting with speed to adapt to the fast changing technology environment, and most importantly she needs to work with a high level of empathy due to her strategic role interfacing with external stakeholders.

Vera believes in the enablement and coaching of human beings to make her collaborators more confident with their job and ultimately increase their overall life satisfaction level.

The findings of my dissertation at LSE were published for the discoveries in the field of IoT & Privacy: Overall, the corporations who are pioneering IoT are remarkably lax when it comes to protecting privacy. Companies involved in the conceptual definition, development and commercialization of IoT devices lack a systematic approach for consumer privacy. In my current role at Dropbox I represent the company with public speaking and I'm in charge of my regions’ go to market approach.
