I am CEO and co-founder of WIVI Vision, an innovative solution that evaluates and improves visual dysfunctions and skills in both adults and children, based on technologies such as AI, immersive 3D video games and Big Data.
After almost 27 years of experience as a manager in multinational companies such as Gamesa Siemens, Berlys and Accenture, I decided to undertake an entrepreneurial adventure with social impact, after my mother suffered from a neurological disease, whose detection was determined by vision. She suffered the disease at the age of 50 and died at the age of 60.
After detecting an unsatisfied demand from the optical sector in the field of evaluation and training of visual dysfunctions, I decided to create my own company, together with another co-founder, Dr. Juan Carlos Ondategui Parra, optometrist, PHD.
Visual health has as much to do with optics as it does with neurology (how we coordinate our eyes to read) and psychic health (how we decode symbols to differentiate b from d for example), which determines our visual efficiency. It is as important to focus well as to understand what we see.
In Europe, more than 80 million adults and 15 million children are affected by a visual dysfunction that limits their daily life (difficulty in reading, writing or driving), 4 out of 10 people affected. Most of these patients remain undiagnosed or are misdiagnosed as having AHDH 30% or Dyslexia 20%, currently only 2% of the population is being treated. Worldwide, it is estimated that this condition is affecting the lives of more than 400 million people. If left untreated, it can lead to hyperlopia, blurred vision and other symptoms.
Our solution is based on advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), Big Data and immersive 3D video games to personalize each patient based on their individual needs.
Since we started our activity, we have already reached more than 10,500 patients without regression in four years, when usually a regression is recorded in 3 months. We are already in more than 80 locations and have signed agreements with 8 of the major optical groups such as General Ópticas, NOG, CECOP or Federopticos. This year we have also signed an agreement with a vision partner for the United States.

WIVI Vision is an innovative solution that evaluates and improves visual dysfunctions and skills in both adults and children. WIVI Vision is based on advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), Big Data and 3D technologies combined with gamification to tailor the platform to each patient based on their individual needs. These technologies have allowed us to objectively measure something that has never been done before, personalize treatments for each person and reduce assessment and recovery times in addition to offering a gamified experience.
Wivi is the best tool that exists today for measurement and treatment, using objective techniques that allow objective recovery of visual efficiency. For the specialist it is a fundamental instrumentation to obtain accurate and objective information. For the user it is a fun and spectacular visual experience. It complements the optician's work in order to have a complete examination, since seeing well requires a good prescription and a cognitive-visual exploration and visual capabilities.
It not only aims to assess whether or not someone has visual dysfunctions, but also to apply a personalized training based on a 3D game to those who suffer from them and also has training to improve the efficiency of people who do not suffer from it but want more vision (it is the physio of the eyes).
Our pioneering system has achieved milestones such as: measuring more than 100 parameters of five visual areas vs. 4 visual areas in the manual method; performing an evaluation and design of a training program in 12 minutes vs. the traditional 60 minutes; a training program in 20 minutes in 3 months vs. 1 year; and with a 100% recovery rate, which benefits patients of all ages.
WIVI is a patented software with CE Marking and Medical Class I endorsed by the Ministry of Health and registered with the FDA and has the approval of the Ministry of Health with medical class. It is an efficient tool, both in time and results. It has 100% efficacy, accompanied by constant clinical support offered by a large team of optometrists with more than 15 years of experience in the sector, who analyze each case on a case-by-case basis.

About entrepreneurship and inclusion promotion
I belong to the TECH sector, I am a Telecommunications Engineer and I have a PDG from IESE. For me it is very important to inspire other women, especially younger women, to pursue a career in technology.
I have more than 27 years of experience in management and business development and in the creation of new concepts and technological solutions in different sectors such as automotive, renewables, food, and more than 10 years of experience in visual health.
When I was working in Berlys we implemented a project to automate sales from vans to ERP and sales control with SAP and applications developed by us that helped to multiply sales by 3.
When I was in IT, we implemented all the automation of production lines in less than 8 months and improved the quality of parts by more than 30%. In Gamesa we did a monitoring work of 14,000 windmills and the development of a system to prevent failures. With a budget of 10MM we were able to do the solution in less than a year and save more than 50% of the maintenance budget.
I have an inspiring and collaborative profile that has allowed me to become a clear example of success in the entrepreneurial world and a reference profile for the empowerment of women in the entrepreneurship and ICT sector. In 2017 I had the opportunity to tell my experience in the European Parliament and in 2020 Forbes nominated us for the creation of one of the 100 most creative business models.
In 2023, I was included among the Forbes list of the 23 professionals in Spain that highlight the ability to transform reality and lead civil society -with their vision and work- towards a more promising future and in 2024 among the 35 most outstanding women in technology.
In 2018 we created a WominHealth group of Women in BCN of different profiles that we met at an IESE event and we did several mentoring from our experience to new entrepreneurs staying several times a year in this group I participated, we invited Laia Arnal to explain topics from the public sector and more people.
In 2017 I was also invited to present in the European Parliament topics of entrepreneurship and coaching and I will have participated in about 100 events.
In 2023 I have participated in the Manresa entrepreneurship conference, in Fidem, in BBVA Spark, FSL Female Startup Leaders and the Santander round table.
