I have worked for 30 years now in technology. Graduating from Baylor University with a Computer Science degree, I then served in the U.S. Air Force as a Computer Systems officer, and then went on to technology consulting and leadership throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. I completed my Masters at the University of Oklahoma and completed my Ph.D in Information Science at the University of North Texas. The truly amazing part of that is that I am a first generation college graduate. I have served and give back to my community with several non-profit boards including for NPower, Society for Information Management (SIM), and the University of North Texas where I’ve fundraised and advocated for STEAM students. I built a nationally recognized speed mentoring program where I matched veterans and military spouses in NPower programs with tech execs who could help them find jobs.
