I am an experienced engineering leader, passionate about launching products, building engineering teams and helping create a work culture that fosters creativity, speed, innovation, and trust.
I first learned basic database-driven web development as a high school student in the 90s, worked in marketing as an intern after high school and started building websites for clients in 2002. Yay, Flash!
I have a Bachelor’s in Organizational Leadership and Management and an MBA in IT Management. I have led teams in various capacities (in marketing, running setup and tear-down for live production events, running disaster relief volunteer teams, running new building openings, etc) since my intern days.
I resisted engineering leadership for many years, until I was on a team without a dev manager and realized we had no advocate. That was a turning point in my career.
Today, I partner with product and business stakeholders to build a technology roadmap and deliver projects that meet business goals with sound, scalable architecture. I enjoy both working in product verticals and building out platform teams that become a force multiplier for the rest of the engineering org.
