Queen Afrique STEM Academy Program

I am using this initiative to tackle the problem of girls dropping out of technology (STEM) subjects at an early age.

We run two types of programs: a summer immersion-program and after-school STEM-clubs where girls can explore coding in a fun and gender-friendly safe environment. Their results have been impressive.

Since 2012, over 2,000 girls have taken part in this program, and many have gone on to study computer science at some of the most prestigious universities both in Nigeria and in the US.

Through this program, we have trained and mentored a team of young Girls that emerged global tech-gold-award winners in the 2018 Technovation Challenge in Silicon Valley, USA.

In partnership with companies, we provide these girls with internship and job opportunities.
