Sonia Faizy is a builder not only in her professional capacity, as an intellectual property lawyer and venture capitalist, but more importantly, as a problem solver—in the way she views the world and how she responds to the challenges that have come her way.
In the face of adversity, it is Sonia’s resilience and ability to find opportunity where others see defeat that makes her a true builder--and the foundation she has built her career on.
After graduating law school from the University of San Francisco, with honors for her accomplishments in the practice of intellectual property and technology law and passing the CA bar exam in 2019, Sonia declined the traditional big law path to instead work alongside social entrepreneurs committed to changing the world through tech.
She soon accepted a venture partner position with the largest preseed business accelerator in the world, the Founder Institute, at their flagship program headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, where she serves as a startup advisor and has helped launch over 35 new tech startups in the last two years alone.
