The Science Booth
I am a qualified secondary science teacher with experience since 2016. I have taught a range of subjects including biology and chemistry at key stage 3, GCSE, and A-level. Throughout my career, I have taught in various school settings, both state and independent.
In addition to my teaching role, I have also worked as an outdoor field studies instructor, specialising in biology, ecology, geography, and geology. This allowed me to engage students in hands-on learning experiences outside of the traditional classroom environment.
In 2016, I embarked on a new venture and established my own STEAM edu-tainment business. Through this business, I have been able to inspire and excite children aged 5-11 about science through interactive shows and workshops. I am passionate about making science fun and accessible to young minds.
To further extend my reach, I have also created an online science club where children can continue their scientific exploration beyond the classroom. Through the club, I provide engaging activities and resources for young learners to continue their scientific journey, which is cost effective and uses everyday materials which can be found at home or at the supermarket.
Recently, I have expanded my role by supporting other STEAM educators who aspire to start their own businesses. I provide guidance and mentorship to help them navigate the process of establishing and growing their ventures. I am dedicated to fostering a community of passionate STEAM educators who can make a positive impact on children's lives.
Overall, my career has been dedicated to teaching science, both in traditional school settings and through innovative educational initiatives. I strive to ignite curiosity and a love for science in young learners, empowering them to explore and discover the wonders of the world around them.
